Prevention is key! Our mission is to give a voice to the youth of Hawai'i by empowering them with education, innovative action, and providing opportunities to speak out and take a stand against dating violence.

1 IN 10 TEENS IN HAWAII REPORT BEING PHYSICALLY HURT BY A DATING PARTNER OVER THE PAST 12 MONTHS*

MORE THAN 1 IN 5 WOMEN AND NEARLY 1 IN 7 MEN WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED RAPE, PHYSICAL VIOLENCE, AND/OR STALKING BY AN INTIMATE PARTNER FIRST EXPERIENCED SOME FORM OF INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE BETWEEN 11 & 17 YEARS OF AGE.

NEARLY HALF (43%) OF DATING COLLEGE WOMEN REPORT EXPERIENCING VIOLENT & ABUSIVE DATING BEHAVIORS.

Women Speaking Out is an innovative 501 (c) (3) nonprofit created in 2008 that focuses on the prevention of dating violence and teaching self love to Hawaii's youth. The organization offers Character Development workshops, an annual Speak Love Conference, and a multitude of hybrid community events both virtual and in-person focused on awareness.
